COP 14 side events publication

In the framework of Polish
COP 14 Presidency, from an inspiration of the Minister of the Environment, prof. Maciej Nowicki, the unique publication has been developed. It presents the main side events that took place during the 14th Conference of the Parties, held in Poznań,  1-12 of December 2008.

During the COP 14 more than 200 various side events were organized. Publication contains Organizers’ reports and  descriptions related to the most important of them. This unique collection is enriched by the foreword written by the Minister Maciej Nowicki, the conference President.

The topics of the Climate Change Conference side events, organized by non-governmental organizations and the participants of the COP 14 from all over the word, perfectly reflect the main themes related to the climate protection, including: emission reduction, renewable energy sources, technology transfer, adaptation to climate change, deforestation (REDD mechanism), financial mechanism and climate change monitoring research.

The descriptions of the side events collected in this publication provide readers with amazing intellectual and educating information, that perfectly shows the latest achievements related to the climate change.
